Work Background

  • Hannah started her career as an Operational Excellence professional. She learned how to connect with folks in many different parts of the business, identify process waste, and facilitate value stream optimization workshops.

  • Showing personability and creativity, Hannah graduated from working with individual departments to developing high level business strategy bringing KPIs to life through partnerships and projects. She also served time as an interim site Operational Excellence lead.

  • Eventually it was time to diversify and Hannah became a facilities engineer. During these years she learned the ins and outs of the operations of a biotech facility, working in a complex environment ruled by strict compliance. She gained technical familiarity with things like steam load, electricity and fuel use, backup generation, refrigeration systems, and energy and water efficiency projects.

  • During her last corporate role Hannah served as a regional Operations Sustainability Lead, working with several sites in the US and Europe. She was responsible for creating a network, developing strategy, and delivering on the regional Sustainability goals encompassing greenhouse gas/energy/water/waste reductions, and employee education. Hannah also supported product Life Cycle Analysis, corporate sustainability reporting, circular supply chain, and plastics management.

Why Consulting?

The climate crisis is unfolding before our eyes; business as usual is no longer an option. Sustainability action must be accelerated in order to mitigate rising global temperatures, and make a better world for us all. Businesses need to do better by their customers and the climate.

Hannah has gained a number of industry-agnostic skills after an impactful career in life sciences working for a company who is a global leader in corporate Sustainability. She has first hand experience in implementing effective strategy and Sustainability projects. Her goal now is to take that knowledge and help other businesses build their own practical and achievable roadmaps.

As a self-motivated lifelong learner Hannah very much enjoys getting to work across a variety of industries, while keeping up with the latest Sustainability trends and solutions to bring to her customers.

Other Background

Growing up in West Virginia, Hannah saw the environmental and social destruction caused by coal mining. She also saw what happens when you take care of the land, how it can provide for all we need. From a childhood running through fields and forests, to working as a corporate professional, she learned that there are very simple solutions to being more Sustainable, and also some unpleasant and difficult ones. All of these lessons have blossomed into a strong belief that everyone would be better off knowing where their electric comes from, what their products are made of, and by cultivating stronger community ties.

Hannah is committed to taking a direct but friendly approach to bringing that vision to life both at home and with her clients.
